GitHub Copilot

Every seat, when it was last used.

Why connect it

Copilot seats are the quietest line on an engineering bill: assigned once, rarely reviewed. The seats API says when each was last used.

What you'll see

  • Every assigned seat with its last activity date
  • Idle seats (no activity in 30 days) with the monthly cost of leaving them assigned
  • Plan type

What the credential can and cannot do

Where to get it: A GitHub token (classic with manage_billing:copilot and read:org, or fine-grained with Copilot business: read on the organization).

It grants: Read on Copilot billing and seats for the organization.

It cannot: Cannot assign or remove seats; that stays a decision you make in GitHub.

Whatever you connect lives in an encrypted cookie in your browser and nowhere else. Sign out and it's gone; revoke it at the provider and it stops working immediately.
